Maitland Little League

We are sad to report that the Closing Ceremonies have been cancelled tonight. We can all deal with rain, but lightning makes it a no-go.

The Maitland Little League (MLL) Board of Directors is committed to providing the best possible experience for all players in our league. In order to do so, the Board needs feedback from parents about the Spring 2013 season. The Board will use your feedback to make improvements in our league for future seasons. All comments and ratings are anonymous and will be used by the Board to provide performance feedback to coaches and to drive improvements in the overall functioning of the league. Please complete one survey per parent for each player you have in the league. Thanks for completing the survey and for helping make MLL the best option for little league baseball in central Florida. While completing your survey please keep in mind that ALL coaching, Board, and other positions in the league are filled by volunteers.

1. Closing Ceremonies will be held Monday, May 20th at 5:30pm—Catered by 4Rivers!!!

2. Please watch for our Spring Parent Survey that will be emailed to you on Friday, May 10th. Your input is very important.

3. The Coaches Home Run Derby will take place on Sunday, May 19th at 5pm at Keller. The top 4 qualifiers will compete in the finals at Closing Ceremonies on May 20th.

We thought we might give you a refresher on how Rain Delays and Cancellations are handled.  Here’s the scoop:  The City of Maitland has the official call on determining the playability of our fields at Keller.  Once we’ve heard from the city, we will distribute any rain delays or cancellations via our Facebook page, our Twitter account and this website.  If you even think there is a chance you may get rained out, check one of these outlets.  The decision is usually made around 4:00 pm.   If you have not heard or seen anything, always assume that your game is still on.

In case you missed it, Baseball Hall of Famer Reggie Jackson visited us during the Opening Day Ceremony.  The Orlando Sentinel was on hand to cover the event.  Read more about here:

Baseball schedules for the Spring season are now available for all levels of baseball except for our JR/SR division.  JR/SR division schedules will be added at a later date.
